Valuation of IP

What is valuation and why should it be applied to your IP

Valuation is the process of allocating a dollar value to all the resources (assets) your business owns and that you expect will benefit you in the future. IP is one such asset. There are no hard and fast rules about how to value your IP assets and it is not a quick or easy task. A good place to start however is to look at how you currently manage your IP and what plans you have in place to exploit it.
